Our Puffin is a steel 34 feet Van De Stadt. Her construction started in 1991. We are her fourth owners. The ship is very robust and the design has proven herself on numerous round the world adventures.
After we bought Puffin, we sailed her around the Netherlands for a season to experience her strong and weak points. She was put on the hard in September 2018 and then the work began. There was some welding to do, a lot of paintwork revealed itself and renewal of the electrical system turned out to be necessary. The initial maintenance work changed into a complete refit during the process. We give Puffin a make over from a touring yacht into a pocket sized expedition ship.
